Artist's Comments

Wow...does anybody remember this:

[link]

Now, exactly a year later, Virage bothers to post up the colored version XDDD

Sad thing? It's been colored for that entire year ::cackles:: I didn't like it a year ago, but now I look at it and I....really do like it. Go figure.

Want a print?" It's $10, add a $1 for shipping unless you buy another print (see my current journal for details) ::sigh::

Beautiful. If I may ask - how do you manage to make it look darker without totally stuffing up the colours? Is there a trick to take into account, or do you just have a very good eye for making it all fit together smoothly?

I tend not to use straight black when shading, I use cool, blue-tinted grays, so that helps ^^ Also, I use washes of watercolor over the marker to tone the color down. I guess the trick is starting light and slowly working your way down to dark! One of these days I plan on making a tutorial XD;

The aged yellow of his coat is brilliant. I can't imagine how you did that without making it look dirty or green. You have such great technique. This is beautiful in colors, I'm so glad you put it up!

You've been holding out on us! XD I really like the coloring on her dress.

Also, I don't know if I'm mentioned it before, but your picture composition is really quite lovely.
